The Cost Of A Premium Portrait-On-Location Photo Session

Th cost of professional Hawaiiseen.com Premium Location Portrait Session is $150.00 per hour. For each half-hour or portion thereof beyond your one-hour location photo session, an additional $60.00 is charged.

A non-refundable $75.00 per hour deposit is required -- plus the 5% Hawaii State tax on the total amount of the entire photo session fee -- to schedule your photo session. (Thus, e.g., if you sought a one hour photo session, the tax on the entire fee [$150.00] would be $7.50 -- and so your deposit would be $75.00 plus $7.50 -- or $82.50.)

The $75.00 per hour balance is due upon completion of your location photo session. (With regard to the additional charges for location photo sessions beyond one hour, i.e., the $60.00 per half hour [plus Hawaii State tax] or any time portion thereof, these charges are also due at the completion of your location photo session.) Your non-refundable $75.00 deposit reserves your photo session's date and time.

All photo session dates and times are reserved on a "first deposit received, first served" basis. Thus if a certain date and time is sought by more than one would-be client, the client whose deposit is received first will have that date and time reserved for them. Therefore, when we inform you that a given date and time is presently open for a photographic session, please remember that this is not the same as a reservation of that date: The reserving of your photo session in our busy shooting schedule calendar takes place only upon receipt of your deposit; we then inform you via email that your desired date is reserved and "locked in": This email is your deposit's receipt as well as confirmation of your photo session's date and time, so please print this email.

Please allow 4 weeks prior notice to the date you wish your photo session (or other Hawaiiseen.com services) so as to enable us to serve you better. Although we are happy to accommodate client needs on short notice (i.e., less than 4 weeks), such accommodation are rarely possible given the crowded Hawaiiseen.com shooting schedule calendar. Should however we be able to accommodate a short notice request or client emergency, there is an additional 40% charge on the on-location photo session fee.

Inquiries about open booking dates and times, or any other questions you may have, may be made via email (addressed to: contact@hawaiiseen.com) or by contacting us by phone or leaving a voice message at (808) 223-0695.

If you need to change your appointment, please inform us at least 3 days before your reserved photo session appointment. Cancellations or postponements received less than 72 hours prior to your reserved photo session will forfeit your deposit as a cancellation-charge. We can only allow one postponement. Failure to show up at your reserved appointment time will also result in forfeiture of your deposit. Prices are subject to change without notice.

After Your On-Location Photo Session: Viewing the Proofs

The balance of your on-location photo session fee, as noted above, is due at the conclusion of your on-location photo session. Generally, about 10 business days after your location photo session, proof images of your photo session will appear on the Hawaiiseen.com website. However, the processing of your photo proofs and their appearance on the website will be suspended while this balance remains unpaid.

These photo proofs are approxiamtely 3" x 4" in size and do not enlarge when "click on". Go to the Photo Proofs link at the bottom of the Hawaiiseen.com homepage; another page will appear displaying photo session dates and you have only to click on the date of your photo session for your particular photo proofs page to appear. Your proof images will remain on our website for 2 weeks for you to make your selections. Your selected photos will then be printed and ready for your pick-up or delivery on Oahu in about 5 business days. For shipping out of state or outer island, a nominal shipping and handling fee will be charged. Please allow additional time when ordering a large number of prints or when our professional archival-quality mounting and matting service for your print(s) is desired.]

Hawaiiseen.com will use a photographic paper known as "lustre", which is between full glossy and matte-textured photo paper -- unless you specify that you want your selected photographs to be processed on glossy paper. (Glossy photographic paper reproduces the highest resolution and color saturation since the paper is smooth, which is why glossy is often used for scenery prints, while matte photographic paper has just a little less resolution and color saturation but does not glare. "Lustre" photographic paper combines the advantages of both these textures and serves extremely well for people portraits, giving them a "classy" look and feel.) Whether you select "lustre" or glossy, the photographic paper used is archival-quality and we professionally color-correct and balance each print ordered.

 
The Cost of Prints And Other After-Photo
Proof Review Services

With regard to ordering the professional photographic prints of photos from your photo session their costs are as follows: (Professional mounting and matting of prints in archival-quality materials is also available as described below.)

20 x 30 professional prints -- $150.00 each

20 x 24 professional prints -- $120.00 each

20 x 20 professional prints -- $100.00 each

16 x 20 professional prints -- $ 90.00 each

12 x 18 professional prints -- $50.00 each.

11 X 14 professional prints -- $38.00 each.

8 X 12 professional prints -- $20.00 each. (Or a set of 8 for $17.00 each)

8 x 10 professional prints -- $15.00 each. (Or a set of 10 for $12.00 each.)

5 x 7 professional prints -- $8.00 each. (Or a set of 8 for $52.00.)

 4 x 6 professional prints -- $4.00 each. (Or a set of 10 for $34.00.)

Wallet-Size professional prints -- $11.00 per sheet (9 photographs of a single selected image per sheet .)

We can also provide a CD of the select photo proof photographs with our copyright release for your unlimited printing of your own photographic prints. The cost of this professional CD with copyright release is $250 per 25 or less select photo proof photos contained in the CD; all select photo proof photos from your photo session must be on this CD. (Although the copyright release authorizes unlimited printing of photographic prints by you, it allows you to make only one backup archival copy of the CD itself.) In addition to unlimited printing because of our copyright release, the CD is also useful if you're having a hard time making up your mind which photo proof to order and print: With the CD you'll have all select photo proof photographs at print resolution in your lawful possession -- and can print what you want when you want. Also, if for example you wanted to use a professional photograph from your on-location or special events photo session in a Christmas Card or a Photo Greeting Card -- you can simply use your CD, show your copyright release to your photo printing shop (if your shop needs to retain a paper document, make the shop a copy while you keep the original copyright release), and have your Christmas or Greeting Cards made.

We can also produce a musical slideshow on CD of these select photo proofs photographs with a copyright release to make CD copies of the musical slideshow (copying of the musical slideshow itself onto other media or broadcasting the slideshow including on the web is not allowed); thus you may make CD copies of this slideshow to give to special friends and family, as well as to make archival copies to pass on for the future. The cost of this CD musical slideshow is $275.00 per 20 or less select photo proof photos contained in the CD; all select photo proof photos from the photo session must be on the slideshow. This is ideal for enabling family and friends to experience your on-location photo session or special event as many times as they want, from anywhere in the world they are, and at anytime, so long as they have a web connection. It is a particularly good way to share with absent family and friends your special event -- be it, e.g., a birthday, anniversary, graduation, retirement, award event, reunion or Christmas party. (Also, for the duration of that half-year, you, your family and friends may order Hawaiiseen.com professional photographic prints of your on-location photo session or special event from your on-line photo gallery at a 15% off savings -- with free shipping.) This $325.00 six-months display service is available on condition (A) that you've already purchased a musical slideshow on CD, and (B) that our review of our website's storage capacity at the time of your display service order request, has determined it is sufficient for the data load our website will have to undertake. After the expiration of this 6-month period, if an additional 6-months is desired, this additional 6-months may be obtained for $200.00.

Professional Photo Retouching Services -- Since everyone has their own preference concerning how they wish their portrait to appear (whether this be the removal of a blemish, wrinkle, shadow/shine, or the dealing with an out-of-place bit of clothing or hair), we also offer professional retouching of your photo(s) as specificed by you.

Our retouching charges are based on the time it takes to professionally achieve the effect or appearance you're after: $15 (for effects requiring1-5 minutes of professional work to achieve), $25.00 (requiring 6-10 minutes), $40.00 (requiring 11-20 minutes), $60.00 (requiring 21-30 minutes), and $100.00 (requiring 31 plus minutes). Hence, the more intensive or the greater number of individual images you desire retouched, the more time it is likely to take, with our ceiling being set at $100.00 maximum. (If the changes you seek are such that this ceiling will be inadequate, we reserve the right to decline the retouching involved.) Be as specific as you can therefore in describing the change(s) you desire so that we can focus our professional efforts expediently; this will also assist us in making the pre-estimate of the time it may required. Remember our retouching service is offered on a time expended basis: Therefore, you will be charged for the time expended for the retouch you've requested even if you then don't ultimately choose the image you directed to be retouched.

Since we want you involved in the ongoing-retouching process, your retouches will be displayed for your viewing online within the Hawaiiseen.com website via a confidential URL address that you alone may access.

There is no charge for this online previewing of your retouched photos if the display of any retouched individual photo or photos does not total more than 20 -- that is, e.g., you may have one photo but have it retouched 20 times thus requiring the previewing mini website to be upload to the web 20 times to view the changes, or you may have 20 photos that are all retouched once and thus uploaded once for previewing. (Thus it is each individual retouched photo plus the times it is uploaded for viewing that becomes the number for subtracting from this 20.) Beyond this 20, there will be an additional charge for the web programing work of $5.00 for each additional photo or additional display.

You may also choose to have your selected image(s) rendered as a black and white, or a sepia toned photographic print. There is no extra charge to have black and white print rendered -- but to render a sephia print, an additional $5.00 is charged for each. (The sephia charge does not, however, increase the price structure for professionally mounting and matting the sephia print: Our above mounting and matting service charges remain the same -- since our service is solely based on your print's size and on the amount of archival-quality materials and the additional effort required to do the job for that sized print.) Shipping & Handling, if called for, and Hawaii State tax are also applied to all orders.
